sly Athena -- shoulda seen her  
as she helped the hapless Greeks  
and Poseidon, chose their side and  
pitched right in -- they're up the creek  
cause Apollo, vain and shallow  
picked the Trojans in his pride  
well, and Ares went for Paris --  
likes a man who steals his bride

I believe in even-steven  
Zeus proclaimed from up above  
and you, mighty Aphrodite  
started all of this for love  
Gods do battle, poets prattle  
and the war goes on, of course  
were I Shakespeare, I'd ask fate here:  
half the kingdom, for a horse
