the sun sets on the bay -- I'm taking notes  
the water's calm, and as the sunlight floats  
it mixes with the dark aquamarine  
bright emeralds emerge, just to be seen  
but for a second, then they dive back down  
I'll sit here, and I'll watch the sunlight drown
