morning warning, sun ablaze  
alarm drags me from my haze  
jesus, it is half past seven  
I've not died and gone to heaven  
feet down first, testing the flooring  
what's today, hope it's not boring  
torso lifting, head leaves pillow  
through the window, weeping willow  
shrugs its branches, wake up, morning  
the alarm repeats its warning  
finally, I'm wide awake.

Saturday, what a mistake.
