South Shore High: you know why  
name was so apropos  
Hallways, always the sweet smell of skunk.

Just how did we get by?  
Could we guess, did we know  
in our typical teenager funk

that our struggles and fights  
will make favorite tales  
as we sit by the fire, reminisce

during long winter nights,  
and when memory fails  
try recalling that first kiss we miss.
