unmoved by shredding ties that bind  
by flesh made polyester  
by widows crying themselves blind  
by wounds that gouge and fester

unmoved by frightened lullabies  
by tear stained mother faces  
unmoved he is, Lord of the Flies  
by children, wearing braces
