The radical new design  
quickly conquered people's hearts  
Sales were climbing through the roof  
It is said little boys and girls  
were asking their mom's and dads:  
Please, please, can we get one of those?  
You know of course that the story ends sadly  
because when the car's creator was asked:  
What inspired you?

He answered: the snail
