Damascus steel  
reflects its inner layers  
a prism into its hammered, fiery birth

Blind, but by feel  
its drawn to final prayers  
and longs to send them back to Mother Earth

Metallic rainbow, fills you up with dread  
Accepts all colors, loves the color red
