for her I shot old Farrell  
he was our previous captain  
I shot him with both barrels  
I used to be the chaplain

the devil take that woman  
she swore that she would love me  
I'm laughed at by my crewmen  
who see her lord above me

as skilled as any madam  
in matters frank and frisky  
all I can do is: yes ma'am  
hurry and bring her whiskey

oh, Molly you are worth it!  
my barrels cocked and ready  
and I shall have you, curse it  
we shall be going steady
