When I say Marvell, he says comics?  
When I say vegetable love, he grins  
When I say life’s not economics  
He says that money always wins

When I say Shelley, he says vampires?  
When I say Ozy…, he says bat?  
When I say poets brought down empires  
He doesn’t care about all that

When I say is there nothing holy?  
No magic touch? No myth? No soul?  
He'll ask me, did you see that goalie?  
And do we have more alcohol?

And do you want more quacamole  
And where is the remote control
