they come by ship  
they come by plane  
postponing life  
for just a week

still in the grip  
of their fast lane  
a husband, wife  
time's what they seek

a day or two  
they've grown new skin  
bathe in the sun  
immersed in rum

and when it's through  
they shed this sin  
finally done  
back where they're from
