Future Bright

let every crime be one of passion
rhythm and rhyme be back in fashion
and politicians literate
and poverty obliterate
let every child have mom and dad
and honesty more than a fad
and lambs escape from lions
and sun shine on in Zion
let healthy doubt be all about
what's truly true, and do not shout
let each of us touch glory
and not just allegory
and finally let there be light
shine on our future, future bright
