In love before her arrow hits my heart,
forever smitten by the huntress’ poise.
Blood rushing to my ears, a roaring noise.
Dear lady I can’t bear to be apart!
I’m yours. I’m not afraid. This deadly bow
has felled many a fellow, I am sure.
It’s permanent – this illness has no cure.
Let us dispense with thee and thou and go
to a forbidden forest just nearby,
with mountain streams and flowers of all shades.
We will not need to fear intruding blades.
Please come, my warrior, no need to be shy.
You think me foolish, hands above my head,
trying to woo you for a forest tryst?
Dear maiden, I can’t help it, I insist
I’ve lost all fear, forgotten care and dread.
I offer all I got, my chivalry,
undying loyalty, I'm in my prime,
Fulfil my every wish, you are sublime.
Dear amazon, be my delivery.
