New Year's Dom

I'm not here to pontificate on greed
I tend to think it's rarely a good look
so here's the story of a real deed
perhaps some day it'll make it to a book
back in the day, when we had Y2K
I had to spend my New Year's in New York
the World Trade Center, had to be this way
there was no work life balance, was just work
and so of course we got Dom Perignon
two cases so that everyone could drink
and partied while we worked, to break of dawn
but one case was left over, I do think

that case of course did go down with the Tower
and I did not, and thank a higher power
