The world is full of boring people.
Quite honestly, there are so few
that facing Eifel's glowing steeple
won't just take "selfie", and adieu.
What of the Louvre? Of Mona Lisa
or of the Pyramids of Gisa?
That'll rate a selfie, too, of course
Our culture has grown vain and coarse.
Well, as for me, I take my travel
with earnest, even grim delight,
and all I need -- my laptop's light!
My feet on Lazy Boy -- not gravel,
I scan these selfies, one by one.
Ugh, nothing new. Again. I'm done.
