The Cat
her Schrödinger cat
feeling no need to hide
she'll open a book
to find out what's inside
he reads too -- or he might be pretending
but can't wait till he finds out the ending

ballerina
shoulda seen her
pirouetting on her stage
and her tutu shining due to
pointy lights, and her bronze age

so, once again our talk will end
before it had begun
and I am cast adrift to fend
an audience of one
and next to me, another chair
reminding me that you're not there

They came here to escape, to brood
the gin and tonics set their mood,
a gentle melancholy,
away from halls of holly.

Ну что язык?
Язык поможет
тонкости мысли описать
И облизать он ложку сможет
у него это не отнять

the thrill of a grill
not your skill with a skillet
nor how you filet a filet
when they've had their fill
there's that feeling, you feel it?
the barbeque is your ballet
So many sat, and just like this,
and wished it was forever.
They know it, fear in every kiss:
could something really sever
the ties that bind -- it cannot be!
And at their feet, the timeless sea

Dark eyes, red lips, and raven colored hair.
She turns to stop and freeze me with her stare.
I'm powerless, she's trapped me in her web.
I fear I may become her cause celebre
my unkept promises, like footprints in the snow
so bright, their marks, I'm hoping they'll blow over
some are forgotten, but of course I know
and others hang around, a bad hangover
the sunflowers of starry night are far, so far away
deflowered, swirling, and their light is mostly for display
so captured by the artist's brush
the night is velvety and plush
but sunflowers, they are, and each a shining star
Away! Away! you cursed, filthy fly!
An invitation you did not receive
inviting you, perchance, to happen by;
So please, I ask you now to take your leave!
