Poems

her kisses are hisses
she's speaking in tongues
our marital bliss is
a scream of my lungs

her scales are imprinted
tattooed by her squeeze
and eyelids are tinted
with scandalous ease

forbidden desires
mix pleasure with pain
their ritual fires
can't make me abstain

each sinuous curve
demands my attention
I live but to serve
serve what? I can't mention

she draws out her hooks
I am chilled to the bone
and yet, as she looks
I'm, as always, to stone

the planets dance, what circumstance
arranged them in their spheres
God's orchestration, or pure chance
the grinding of what gears

celestial kites invade our night
uncoiled from cosmic strings
who placed them there for our delight
and gifted them with rings

grasping the infinite within
the infinite without
as the Creator's violin
plays Symphony of Doubt

a simulation still at play
perhaps we're merely pawns
a board abandoned, though we pray
as we weigh pros and cons

our theories and histories
hypotheses, conjectures
have yet to solve these mysteries
no shortage, though, of lectures

and me, what do I think is true
what matters about matter
like all of you, I have no clue
but I suspect the latter
